MH Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske, Trebinje town and “SET Trebinje” are organising the “SET – TREBINJE 2020” Summit under the slogan “Future of energy of the Western Balkans”.
The Energy Summit is organized under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Republic of Srpska Regulatory Commission for Energy, at the Cultural Centre in Trebinje, Trg palih boraca 1, on 5th and 6th March 2020.
A key theme of this year’s Summit is Energy Transition – a policy of long-term structural change in energy systems. An important thematic unit consists of the issues of reforming the institutional framework in the energy sector, implementing short-term sectoral measures in order to initiate economic development and launching medium-term and long-term measures in individual energy sub-sectors. With the promotion of advanced energy networks and the digital society, there is a particular focus on the commitment to energy “Fair play” in the broadest sense, precisely because the energy transition significantly increases the number of active participants in energy trading.
Answering key issues for our daily lives, more than 400 Summit participants will have an opportunity to hear nearly 70 industry leaders from the region, who participate in nine panels, during the two days of the Summit. The Summit includes virtually all relevant representatives of the energy sector in the region; leading people from domestic companies and institutions shaping the industry, business leaders and makers of energy policies, and top national and international energy experts.
