Ireland’s transition to a low carbon energy future


ei_logoThe transition to a low carbon future presents many opportunities and challenges for Ireland.The issue of how we will heat our homes, fuel our cars and generate electricity is of fundamental importance to Ireland, a country heavily reliant on imported fossil fuels. Does a low carbon future mean a high renewable future? What does this mean for the future Irish economy?

Professor Brian Ó Gallachóir will present insights from the EPA/SEAI funded Irish “TIMES” Integrated Energy Systems Modelling project in the context of recent energy policy and climate developments in December 2015 including: Government White Paper on Energy Policy i Outcome of COP-21.
